Mickey Burns is television Host in New York City, his audience consists of millions of discerning adults, well-educated and successful, who tune in to hear their favorite celebrities from all walks of show business engage in intelligent conversation on his award-winning talk show “Profiles”. Mickey began hosting “Profiles” in 1999 and has created over 500 episodes featuring some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, such as: Deepak Chopra, Christopher Plummer, Robert Wagner, Kenny G, Meat Loaf, Mario Lopez, Susan Lucci, Kandi Burress, Tia Carrere, Tony Orlando, Smokey Robinson, Chrissy Metz, Misty Copeland, Jesse Ventura, Andrew Zimmern, Don McLean, George Foreman, Dick Cavett, and the list goes on and on. Mickey’s television roots can be traced to Fox 5 News in New York City , where in the 1980s, he worked in the production of The 10 O’Clock News, The McCreary Report and Sports Extra. In the 1990s, Mickey hosted, anchored, and starred in numerous television programs, such as: “Special Edition”,”Island View”, and “Staten Island Live” for Time Warner. In 1999, Mickey created his unique talk show, “Profiles” which has been airing on the NYC Media Network ( the official television network of New York City) since 2003. During that span, “Profiles” has been the recipient of seven Telly Awards. In 2008, Mickey was honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award from his alma mater, Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. He was later awarded an Honorary Doctorate while serving as the keynote speaker at the Missouri Valley College 2012 graduation ceremony. A native of New York City, today, Mickey resides in Staten Island, New York, and continues to host “Profiles”.
